Marketing with Questions

Marketing with Questions

So you took the plunge and you are currently in Network Marketing.

The Script-

It's said that an amatuer practices the script so they won't get it wrong, but a professional knows the script well enough that they can't get it wrong.

You've never done this before and now your upline hands you a script to speak to perfect strangers on the phone.

Also just an added note here.....you're suppose to be good at it.

Professional sales people can do this, but you see that script and suddenly you can't speak, can't read and breathing has just became more difficult.

Relax and breathe. You can and will get better at it. Here's a couple of pointers.

You can read/memorize the script, but act like a real person having a real conversation with someone.

Forget about the "pitchy" sales approach.

Remember you are a problem solver, so ask some questions and solve the problem. Use your questions to draw them in and to target objections.

.......One of the first questions I ask is " your name came up on one of my websites as someone who wants to generate income right away so I'm just giving you a quick call today to find out if you have found what you are looking for or are you still keeping your options open?

Check out the words, "generate income right away" and the word "open". Who doesn't want to be open to generating income right away?

People want to open to money and a new and exciting opportunity.

Most recruits respond with keeping their options open and off you go. If they respond with a no not interested....well a quick no is better than a long drawn out no.

If the recruit responds with "I have found something", don't give up start asking more questions.

What is it? A 9 to 5 job. Can they see themselves doing that job for the next 30 years?.....etc.

If its another MLM. Are they happy so far? Happy with their upline?.....etc

.....Next question, "why are you or what has you open to a home business right now". There's that special word again "open".

With the answer comes the fact that the recruit is agreeing with you that they are open to a home business.

This is where the art of conversation comes in. Learn to listen to the answer, don't worry about the rest of the script. Their answer may give you a glue into solving their problem.

.....Next question,"Let's say 2 years from now you are very successful at this business and money it not a concern. What would you like to do?"

Dreaming gets the recruit thinking about a brighter future with this Online Marketing business. Don't leave this out, this is a powerful question.

.....Next question."Have you set up a budget to start your home business?"

This questions makes it incredibly hard for the recruit to now use the,"I have no  money", objection.
They risk looking stupid and if they risk it, are they really the person you want on your team.

.....Next question." On a scale from 1 to 10 how open are you to doing some research to see if this opportunity is right for you?"

You can phrase the question differently if they don't understand but if the answer is anything below a 7 wish them a good day and move on.

or-

.....you can hit them hard with, "well how are you going to move forward on the dreams you just mentioned if you don't move forward on this opportunity"

I hope you see that by using phrases like "are you open", and allowing them to "dream out loud", leaves you in control of the conversation. Asking the right questions will work better for you in the long run than a half rehearsed script.
